Friends from Different Places

February 27, 2025

Happy Thursday! It is such a beautiful day today.

This morning our friends continued to make their Hina dolls. They look so beautiful!

CIRCLE TIME

The teacher had a special message for Z, but he was so far away. I wonder if our friends can pass the message like the game telephone. Z did you get the message?

Z: I love

Teacher was that your message? Uh oh. That was not the message. The message was, “C is here today.”

C was in circle time today! She is one of our friends who will be leaving us at the end of March. Ri and Re shared yesterday. Let’s ask C how she feels.

C: Surprised. Too many friends.
Re: I will be little bit mad. I will crack Shougakkou floor by stomping my feet because I want to stay at Ohana.

Ri said she will be nervous because there will be many friends that she doesn’t know. We may see many new people at the new school. Let’s review yesterday’s homework. How can we make new friends?

Sh: You can go to a school and make new friends. Just say “hello!”
Re: You can be nice to someone. You can volunteer.
Ri: Maybe when someone drops something you can help.

Yeah! Even though some friends will leave Ohana and go to new school there are many different ways to make new friends.

QUESTION OF THE DAY
Ma: “Can friends be from different places?”

Ty: Yes, Ma. I’m from Hawaii and Ma from Japan.
Z: China. Z 3 and there. China is Z.
Ma: Sh is my friend and he’s from Israel and I’m from Japan.
Mi: Daddy has a friend somewhere else. I forgot where.
Ri: I have in Chiba.
Yu: Japan and Hokkaido is a lot of friends. Maybe kind of a lot. I want to play with them with trains too!
O: No. Only my friend not go to my big school.
Re: I go to park with mommy and I see a girl climbing and she said, “Can I be your friend?” and I said, “Yes!”
C: I have a friend in America. Far away. We can still be friends. His name is A!

Wow, so many friends have friends in different places. I wonder how everyone talks to those friends. I wonder how often they visit each other. We still have so many questions for our Flowers friends.

Tomorrow, Flowers class will visit the Care Home where we will sing songs and play games. We also made them a gift! We can’t wait to spend time with the grandmas and grandpas.

We hope you have a wonderful evening. See you tomorrow!

XOXO,
Flowers
