Good afternoon moms and dads! Hope you all had a wonderful day! We had a great morning playing with the playdough and the toy cars. One at a time, we continued working our chain link dragons! Our friends did a great job using the scissors to cut the strips and gluing them together to make links! Then, we added a head with googly eyes and a pom pom for the nose. Some of our friends added scales, horns, and wings for their dragon! It was exciting to see how our friends got creative!
For our circle time today, we started by singing songs and doing a little bit of phonics. Today we focused on the letter “B”. We practiced making the sound of “B” then thought of words that start with it (we also had some pictures to look at).
J: B is bear!
R: B…b… Boing!
M: Ball!
S: Banana!
E: I have a banana today.
D: I like bananas!
J: Butterfly.
P: Balloon.

J: Like this *did a “looking” gesture*
Nimo: Exactly! You use it to look for things far away, they are called binoculars! What else can you think of that starts with the sound, b.
R: Bus!
E: Body.
D: Birthday cake.
Wonderful job friends! Next, we reviewed the flags we have been learning about.
E: Goh san’s flag is Singapore.
M: Maryna, Ukraine.
Nimo: Who knows this flag *UK*
J: Red and white.
E: And blue.
R: Lucy from here right? UK!
D: *Pointed at the last two flags* Philippines and South Africa.
With the world map in front of us, we sang the Seven Continents song then zoomed in on North America. Nimo brought the USA puzzle and took a look at the states our teachers were from. Along with the states, Nimo prepared a picture of what it looks like there. We noticed how each state had a different scenery even though they were in the same country. Nimo asked us which state we liked and why.

After our circle time we played at the park and then had our lunch!
