Finding Missing Parts!
Monday, January 20th - Finding missing parts!
Welcome back on our partly rainy Monday!
Some friends had the chance to finish their new years shuji today! S and L jumped into gear and finished their artwork as the teacher helped them print their names! They all enjoyed watching the ink glide onto the paper as their names formed. They look beautiful!
The people connectors were out and ready to create on the front table. I and K showed nice cooperation as they shared their pieces to one another and also popped the pieces together! I enjoyed collecting the blue people, while K was fond of the purple ones.
At the back table, the magic sand was flattened and ready for creative minds to engage! R had fun stamping the end of the roller onto the top to make flower shapes! S squeezed handfuls of the sand and watched it pop out from between his fingers. S came by after watching and pinched the sand into little triangles with a big smile. What a great exercise for our hands and fingers!
In the free play area, we had toy animals roaming about along with Mr. Potato head supervising them all. E borrowed his glasses and made funny faces with a laugh! She likes a good laugh with her friends. L also borrowed the hat and showed it off like she was in a fashion show. Y gathered the arms and legs to begin putting him together before I came along and gave him a green hat! S was very sweet to share his ukulele with L! L seems very interested in musical instruments!
Pretty soon, it was time to clean up and gather for the morning circle! Today we revisited naming our body parts but this time we read a picture story of a baby who was also learning about his body! Everyone listened as the teachers called out to ask where each part we searched for was. K was such a good listener and pointed to his nose when he heard the teachers ask where it was! Nice listening! We all pointed to our eyes, ears, nose and more!
After we ate our snacks, we got ready for the park and left together with our petals friends! N smiled a big smile to his petals friends and enjoyed exploring iki iki plaza park with T! They both enjoyed being there for the first time with our class and were happy to discover the big animal murals there!
Thank you and have a wonderful evening!
Love,
Buds
