Do You Have A Brother Or Sister?

Happy Friday! Almost everyone is here today! We enjoyed a wonderful day together with our friends and teachers.
CIRCLE TIME
All morning, we had been asking our teachers where Vieda was.
C: She went back to her country to see her sister.
That’s right. Vieda has gone to see her sister, but she will be back on January 28th. We will definitely miss her while she is gone. We thought about what we can do while she is away.
C: We need to be nice to friends.
S: When she comes back, we can tell her everything that happened!
We’re looking forward to having her back soon!
YESTERDAY’S HOMEWORK
Yesterday we were asked to see if the members of our family look alike or if they don’t. Let’s see what we found out!
T: Mommy is the same. Daddy is little bit.
R: Me and daddy the same. Dad and brother the same.
S: In my family everybody is different!
It seems like no one in Flowers has a family where everyone looks the same. We like that sometimes we look like our family and other times we don’t. It’s nice to be different!
QUESTION OF THE DAY
S and A: Do you have a brother or sister?
Z: One!
T: I don’t have it, but I have it best friend in California!
R and C wrote “brother”, “sister”, and “0” on the board, then we each put a mark for each brother or sister in our family. If we don’t have one, then we put a mark next to 0.
O tallied the marks and wrote the number next to each one, then M read the results!
M: 8 sisters, 11 brothers, and 3 friends with no brother or sister.
After that, we kept reading our book about families, where we saw there can be many differences within families from the clothes they wear to the things they like to do.
A: Sometimes I match clothes with daddy.
T: I have the same clothes.
R: I have the same clothes.
HOMEWORK
Do you like to do the same things as your family members? What kind of things do we like to do with our families? Let’s think about them over the weekend and discuss them next week!
