What do your fingerprints look like?
Hooray for Wednesday! Officially, our enjoyable water activities starts today! Everyone can’t wait to cool down in the pool. We started our day with playing with playdough and stickle bricks. Buds friends also came to Petals! Playing with more friends made our day extra special.
E: Look I have this! I will walk in the pool. ( referring to the flippers he brought from home)
K: pool?
L: I will make a dinosaur
S: Can I sit with S?
S: Yes ( when asked if she wants to play with the play dough)
For our circle time, we began by singing “Good Morning” and "How are you?” Song. We also tried to figure out who took the cookie while singing the song “Who Took The Cookie From The Cookie Jar”. Evita went over the shoe print /footprint we learned yesterday. She then asked the class if other prints are made aside from footprints, eliciting our lesson today; fingerprints! After that, the class made their own fingerprints. Everyone applied pressure with their thumb to the stamp pad and pressed their thumb against a balloon. Then Nimo helped them in blowing up the balloon to enlarge their fingerprint for close examination. After making our fingerprint, the class reconvened into a circle, and examined each other's fingerprints. Some friends think they have the same fingerprint but in the end they notice each fingerprint is different! Evita then read the book, I Spy With My Curious Eye. This book is based on a children’s game, I Spy. The class needed to locate the adjectives in the book.
