Whose Prints Are Those?
July 1, 2024
Happy Monday! We’re happy to start the 3rd week of summer school! We have a lot of friends in Flowers class today and it’s been fun catching up and playing with them!
CIRCLE TIME
With so many returning friends and some new faces, we began our circle with our ‘hello song’ so that we can keep learning everyone’s name!
QUESTION OF THE DAY
Our spy-training theme is finished, and we’re onto a new one! The question of the day might help us understand what the theme is…
L started reading the question of the day before getting a bit of help from M who took us half way through the question, before calling on H to take us home.
L, M, and H: Do animals have prints?
Most of us are unsure what prints are. Do we have any ideas?
M: It’s something like spots or stripes.
T: It’s like printing on a computer. Animals can print on the computer!?
R: Like indoor feet.
H: If you stand in the sand, it makes footprints.
We looked at some different animal prints with spots and stripes and tried to guess which animal they were from!

We laid all the prints out on the floor and noticed their differences. Why are they different?
T: Because the DNA is different! It’s like bio luminescent! It glows in the dark because of the DNA.
M: Maybe some of them are the same but some are different. Cheetah and tiger are similar.
