Little Memory Masters!
Thursday, June 27th: Little Memory Masters!
Happy Thursday!
On the front table this morning, we played a colorful bird matching card game! I was very interested in the yellow colored bird and worked hard to find one with the same color! M also came over to help locate some colors too! Together they found many matching cards!
At the back table, we wrapped up decorating our card match game backgrounds with dot markers! A, I, M and T were all hard at work decorating their backgrounds with many beautiful color stamps! They did a wonderful job holding the stampers and carefully adding color in just the right places! Way to go!
In the free play area, there were lego blocks ready for us to build! A built a tall tower fit for a princess! M and I built a home for their elephant friend and I built a tree where it could come for snacks anytime! What a great collaboration!
After we finished cleaning up and sat down for circle time, we sang our morning song and Brandon invited us to join in a memory game as part of our spy training! We looked at some colorful bird cards with him and then he hid the pictures by flipping them over and mixing them up. He then invited us to pick one card to see its picture and then pick another card to have a chance at finding its match. It was lots of fun! I found the green bird cards and I found the red bird cards.
We then switched it up by taking some food toys from Liezel and then observing which food Brandon held. He hid it under paper and then we had to remember which food item it was! A guessed the radish (daikon) correctly and T also guessed the bell pepper too! Nice work, mini detectives!
After we enjoyed our snack, we set out for step park! Once there, we played in the green space and explored the area. Isa helped water all of the flowers in the garden and Noah looked all over the place discovering sand, leaves and even some pill bugs! Wow!
See you tomorrow everyone!
Love,
Buds
