Summer is almost here!

6/13/2024

Hello everyone and welcome back to another day full of adventures inside Flowers class. As we are reaching the end of the year, today, we spent a lot of time playing, relaxing and enjoying our friends. Thank you for reading our journal!

CIRCLE TIME AND QUESTION OF THE DAY

The whole morning has been dedicated to fun! We had a long time for playing in the morning, ate our snacks and went outside to Step Park. As soon as we came back, we started our daily circle time. We had a harsh time calming down, so we started by pretending to sleep and taking deep breaths to relax our bodies. Once we were ready to listen, we started talking about the upcoming summer.

R.: Some friends are sleeping! Wakey wakey!

H.: Naaaan, I want sleepy sleepy.

Then, Axel took out the calendar to talk about the seasons and T. instantly said: I love when we do the calendar!

Our teacher asked us about the ongoing season, if the next one is summer, which one are we in now?

K.: I think it’s summer.

M.: We have four seasons.

K.: No more the season and then again winter.

As our friends couldn’t figure it out, we listened to M. who told us 4 seasons. We started back from summer and enumerated them one by one.

M.: After it’s autumn.

Th.: Then winter!

T.: And spring!

Th.: But the Sakura is gone so it’s not spring!

Then, our teacher asked us to read the question of the day altogether!

Everyone: Do you like summer?

We had a few “No” and a lot of “Yes”, let’s see!

K.: No because it’s wet.

C.: No because I don’t know.

M.: Yes, because I can go to the Beach, and I can splash my mommy!

V.: Summer is happy!

R.: I like to go to the pool.

R.: Everyday is sunny so I can go to the park.

M.: You can play outside in summer.

H.: I like to play outside.

Th.: Everyday I go to Ohana pool in summer school.

Y.: Because it’s so hot.

T.: I like it because surfing!

A.: I can splash in the pool.

After that, we performed our “rainbow fish” musical play for a last time, except that we changed all our roles. Everyone got to play like another type of fish and had so much fun! When we were done, it was already time for us to have lunch!

Thank you so much for following our daily adventures,

Lots of Love,

Children from the Flowers Class.
