Winter Party Practice

December 9, 2024

Happy Monday! Even though it doesn’t feel like it, it’s the last week of school for the year 2024!

WINTER PARTY PRACTICE

We spent much of our day today preparing and practicing for the winter party tomorrow! We went over our songs and dances with Maryna and our teachers, and we finalized the places we will stand. We’re very excited for you to see what we’ve been working on!

CIRCLE TIME

We began our circle by seeing who knew different parts of the body. C called out, “If you can hear me touch your _____” We thought the first ones he called out were too easy, so we asked for difficult ones! We learned a few new body parts like forehead, earlobe, and knuckles. Then 5 friends got a chance to call out the body parts!

If you can hear me touch your…

Y: Chin!

M: Knuckles!

C: Neck!

Y: Elbow

O: Headfore! Ahh! Forehead!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

J: Do you like to perform?

Most of us didn’t know what perform meant when we answered the question this morning. Let’s get some definitions!

S: Like when you are doing a show.

R: Maybe something like stage and sing.

S: Yeah! Something opens and closes!

Y: A curtain!

R: When I was in drama with C I do the show with puppets.

Now that we know what it means, do we like to perform?

J: No, because I get nervous.

S: Yes, because I can see my mom.

Y: Yes, because it’s fun.

R: I like because so many people will come see.

C: I like because my mommy and daddy will come.

How are you feeling about our performance tomorrow?

R: Excited!

A: Nervous.

S: Very nervous.

J: Excited!

R: I don’t know…so-so.

C: So-so

M: So-so

T: So-so

Y: Funny!

Z: Happy!

T: Same as Y. Funny!

We’re all excited and maybe a little nervous for you to see our performance at our Winter Party tomorrow!

Have a wonderful evening!

Love,

Flowers XOXO
