My Foot

Happy Friday! We started our day with holiday crafts and morning free play. For our morning free play we were able to play with the train set, it was so exciting! After, we had rehearsal with Maryna to get ready for the winter party. Once we were finished with rehearsal, we had Storytime. We read “Left Foot, Right Foot” by Dr. Suess. Some of Petals friends thought the book was funny and a little silly!

E : (The book is) so funny!
M: walking!
R : (we have) 2 feet!
M : I have 2 feet!
E : I have 4 feet!
Esmi : When do we use “quick feet”?
L : At the park!
Esmi : When do we use slow feet?
Petals : In Petals Class!
Esmi : Look at all these feet! What kind of feet do you have?
D : I have small feet!
Petals : I have big feet!
L : My mom has small feet!
T : No big! (referring to his mother’s)
E : Esmi I have a question, which is your left and your right?
Esmi : I’m not sure. Can you show me?
E : I can show you! Look this is left *raises left hand* and this is right *raises right hand*.
Esmi : Oh really? Thank you for helping me!


After story time we went to the park and enjoyed our snack there. We really enjoyed snacking under the sun! We played for a little bit before coming back to Ohana and had circle time. Today we discussed left and right and our little walk from yesterday in the streets of Azabu.
Esmi : Which one is this one?
R : this is right*raises hand*!
E : That’s right! Do you remember yesterday when we went right and saw our friends' houses?
L : My house is so big!
D: My house is so long!
M : My house is long too!
R : My house is tall and tall. We go up, up and up the elevator!
E : My house is not too big, it's like this *gestures a small house*
B : My house is like this *gestures in the middle*


Finally, we played a fun game! Our goal was to hop to the table with the beanbags to get the color we like. But here’s the trick, we had to hop on the correct foot! It was a little difficult but we were able to do our best!

B : I like blue!
K : This one red!
L : It’s red!
M : This one purple!
T : I like this one! Black!
M : Brown!
P : I like yellow!
D : This one is yellow!
E : I like red!
J: yellow!
R : Green!
