Triple Birthday

Thursday, December 5th - Triple birthday!

On the front table we had some connecting magnet toys which were in nice shapes. Squares, circles, triangles. Lots of different shapes and colors. E was so interested in this activity, she realized quickly that she could stick them to the table let and had fun doing that. Lalso enjoyed feeling all of the different shapes as she giggled to herself

On the small table Tamara was helping some friends make a star craft. A and L had so much fun choosing gems to stick into the dough. S watched on curiously.

On the back table we used the cinnamon play doh again. R loved using the roller. I also loved making little cakes

At the back of the room we had animal toys. A was smiling with the dinosaurs whilst Y and Sn also had so much fun with all the animals. I enjoyed playing with the farm yard animals as he made the animal noises.

Today was a special circle time! It was our friend I, S and L`s birthday party today. We all sat down in a circle and we read a story called “Spots birthday”. Then we discussed whose birthday it was whilst we looked at the big faces of our friends on the back wall.
We were so sorry to hear that S and L's mom B was unable to come because she is sick.. Get well soon! I's mom and dad S and L came in and we sat down and took a lovely photo.

They read us such a great story called “the color monster”. It was all about feelings and colors which is exactly what we have been working on in classes this year.. Also the book was a pop up book so all of the images were so fun and exciting. Thanks so much S and L!

After a story we played a game of Simon Says. Everyone did a great job of using their listening ears as we had fun listening and doing the actions. It was then time to give some cards that we made for our birthday friends. M, Y, I and L gave S, L and I their cards and the teachers brought in some playdoh cakes with a candle to blow out.. I wonder what wishes our friends made.

We sang in our biggest voices, the happy birthday song and then before snacktime we had a dance to some popular songs like Baby shark and the Birthday song with the bells. Everyone shook their bells and their bodies happily.

After snack time we went for a walk to the temple. The temple is a very beautiful place with a big yellow ginkgo tree. We practised our running feet as we ran super fast around the bonsai trees that were dotted around. Some of us picked up the Ginkgo leaves and showed our teachers with happy smiley faces.

Then it was time to walk back to school, eat some lunch and take a rest!

It was so fun today everyone, looking forward to tomorrow!

Love,

Buds
