Operation fire fighter
Good morning Buds family.
At the front of the room we did some coloring. There was a big blank fire truck and car drawing but also some areas of plain paper. A got straight to work she grabbed the crayon tightly and scribbled away, Y would come over to help every now and then. R and S also had lots of fun feeling the crayons and making big circles with the crayons on the paper.
On the back table we had a fire fighter puzzle, Y and I looked at all of the different puzzle pieces examining their shapes and colors, they even put a few pieces together the puzzle was of a fire station!
M was working with Brandon on her donut craft , she carefully chose the different things to stick on her donut, she looked like she was having fun!
At the back of the room we had car toys AND people toys. L was interested in the people, he held them close to his face. Y made the cars zoom around the mat whilst L experimented with the wheels. H was making patterns with the cars by lining up the ones that were the same, well done. I was making the cars go up and down the chair legs, she looked very focused!
We made a beautiful circle, sat down and after singing our hello song we started singing some songs. “Here comes the fire truck driving down the street. Here comes the fire truck beep beep beep” we sang as we walked around the room pretending to be fire trucks. The Buds were so full of energy today as they used big voices to make the sirens. A few people held onto Liezel's arms and made a very big fire truck. We sat down and Lucy showed us the toy Fire fighters. We passed them around the room practicing our sharing skills. We tried to wear a firefighters jacket and hat, it was fun to make believe that we were fire fighters.
Before snack time we read a story about Dinosaur fire fighters… It was so funny, L laughed when Lucy brought the book close to her face and growled like a dinosaur.
After snack time it was time for operation fire fighter! Lucy brought in a cup of water and we all dipped our fingers inside. “How does it feel?” asked Lucy.
“COLD” said I.
“yes! Water is cold. And fires are..”
“Hot” replied I.
There were three different houses in the classroom. Each had orange flames inside (paper).
“What color is this?” said Lucy showing the balls.
“BLUE” screamed Ic.
We tried on the hat and jackets and tried to put out the orange fire using the blue balls.. It was so fun. Y and L enjoyed being calm inside the houses. Whereas H and Y loved jumping onto the houses or jumping out from the houses. I told everyone to cover their mouths when there's a fire, correct I!
M, A and I were throwing the big and small balls with their friend R.
L and S were very interested in the hat, L wore the hat and danced whilst S was letting all of his friends try it on too.
Before we had lunch we calmed down with some lights and we sang Twinkle Twinkle little star to practice for our winter party.
What a fun day. Have a great evening and we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Love,
Buds
