Red Light! Green Light!
Friday, January 26th: Green light!
TGIF!
This morning we wrapped up our fun week of observing police officers as one of our beloved community helpers! We created badges, took pictures in our very own police officer photo booth and made a real life sized stop light as a major art collab!
At the front table were people puzzles set about for us to link and chain together. D and I were happily building together. I likes the green colored block the best, while D loves the red ones!
On the second table, we wrapped up adding like colors for the final touches of our stop light! We used leftover pipe cleaners, colored tissue paper strips and colored feathers. It looks amazing! M had a blast spreading glue with L and N and N joined in the fun adding many different colored elements. This class is full of artists!
Once we cleaned up, it was time to settle down for circle time. We sang our good morning song and then Brandon and Marjorie showed us how to use our beautiful stoplight to play “red light, green light”! When Brandon said “GREEN LIGHT!” We all marched in a big circle together. It was a great chance for us to use our ears because when Brandon said “RED LIGHT!” we all had to freeze but it was very hard because everyone was laughing together at each other’s silly poses! I and T laughed out loud at the teachers as they froze for the red light.
Pretty soon it was time for a snack and then to head out to the park! We were all super excited to blaze down the slide and bounce on the bouncing chairs. Pretty soon the air was filled with screams and laughter as everyone rushed down the slide to be caught by Tamara with huge smiles!
See you next week everyone!
Love,
Buds
