Making a Splash!
Happy Wednesday!
We started our day once again by playing with the water table! M and D had lots of fun splashing the water together, while nearby, I was transferring aquatic animals with her hand scoop. Inside on the activity table closest to the door, L and N worked on making a snake and cookies out of our ocean colored clay!
On the second table, N and L carefully stamped out their blue paint bubble wrap portrait of aquatic animals! Once they dry we will remove the animal shape to reveal something we call “negative space” art. So pretty!
Once we cleaned everything up, it was time for circle time, we danced to “Row Row Row Your Boat” and sat on mats pretending we were in a large boat! Liezel surprised us all during the song with some familiar ocean puppets from the “Slippery Fish” song! I laughed out loud when we were pretending and having fun.
When the song was over, B showed us his pet dogs and cat pictures from home along with O’s dogs and cat! We love our animals!
After we were done with circle time we finished the book “Smiley Shark”. This story was about a shark that wanted friends but didn’ realize that he was scaring everyone away. He eventually saved his friends from a fishing net, helping the fish realize all along that he only wanted to play. Such a sweet story!
Before we knew it, we were on our way to our park outing. This time, we trekked a little further around our neighborhood and discovered a newly opened grocery store. There, we took a water break to beat the heat and made our way back for lunchtime.
Thanks for today buds fam!
See you tomorrow!
Love,
Buds friends
