Animal Footprints!
Good Thursday afternoon!
Today marked our first day recording our growth check! Each of us was measured and weighed by Tamara. Watch us grow!
This morning we played with playdough once more but today everyone used colored animal tokens along with it! The playdough seemed extra STICKY today from the humidity! It was a great challenge for us to pick off the bits of playdough from our fingers as it stuck to them. M. and B. pretended to march a toy bear through the wilderness (playdough) together while pinching bits of it to make the bear some food! Yum! N. shared some of her animal toys with T. after he gifted her a cookie cutter to use with the playdough. So sweet, you two!
In the free play area, there were many hard animal and vehicle toys for us to play with. N. happily traded a toy bus to L., who gave him his toy kangaroo! What great cooperation and a good deal!
Once free play was finished, we all gathered for circle time where Brandon played “Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee” with the guitar. It was so much fun and we were very happy to hear Brandon, Tamara, Liezel and Marjorie all singing our names in the lyrics of the song!
After snack time, Marjorie and Tamara invited us over to discover some…. BEAR FOOTPRINTS! Brandon showed us how to make some of our own by painting the bottom of our feet and following the bear footprints! We could pick from red, green and yellow paint. I. used a big voice to tell Brandon “YELLOW!” for her footprint color. A. laughed and squirmed when Brandon painted her feet in preparation for making her animal footprints. D. and L. loved making their footprints so much that they both returned FOUR times to participate! Wow! Way to go everyone! Our first art project looks great so far!
Thanks and have a great afternoon!
Love,
