April Birthday Bash!

Hello Wednesday!

We had a wonderful and special birthday party for C, G, and S! It was so much fun so we would like to share what we did during the party!

After we finished our jobs, we chose what we wanted to play. Then we welcomed C(C’s mom),J (G’s daddy), B(G’s mom), and Y (S’s mom). Together with their parents, C, G, and S enjoyed painting their special birthday canvas! Then we packed away the toys, and we all gathered for our friends’ special party. We started our party by singing our good morning song. “Do they look like birthday celebrants?” Nimo asked us. “Nooo!” We shouted out because they didn’t have a birthday hat yet. After we helped them put the birthday hats on their heads, Nimo asked us again. “Hmmm what else do we need?” “Birthday card!” We shouted out. We gave the birthday card to them. Of course we sang happy birthday song with them and asked them how big they are now! “Four!” C, G, and S showed their four fingers and said that they are four years old now. Wow, they are big boys!

Then B read a great book for us, the title was DRAGON LOVE TACOS by Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri. That's a very fun story especially because petals love dinosaurs, we really enjoyed it! Dragons love tacos like us. But one day they accidentally ate spicy salsa…Oh..,my…! It was hilarious and we enjoyed the illustration, too. G helped his mom to hold the book. They said that we can keep the book! Thank you very much! We can’t finish a grand party without a game! Graham’s daddy had a great idea for the game and it was, musical chairs. Yaaaay! J played a great song so we enjoyed moving and tried our best to get a chair when the music stopped. Just before we said good bye, there was our favorite goody bag time! We all thanked them for the wonderful time! Again, happy birthday C, G, and S!

We were thankful to C that he gave us one of his favorite books. After we came back from park, Sayaka read the book and we really enjoyed it. The title was Winnie AND Wilbur WINNIE THE WITCH by VALERIE THOMAS AND KORKY PAUL. The witch's name is Winnie and she had a black cat named Wilbur. They lived in a black house so Winnie sometimes tripped over Wilbur because she couldn't see him! One day she used her special skill which is magic and the cat turned into a colorful cat. Ok, she can see the cat so she will not trip over him anymore, she thought. However, it was just the beginning of their adventure. It was a funny and fun story! After we finished the story time, we thanked C, too. Some of us wanted to share a comment about the book.

G: I like the cat.
M: I like the witch.
T: I like the haunted house.
R: I like the witch.
M: I like green cat.
L: I like puppy.
M: I like blue cat.
E: *Nodded her head and said, “Yes”  when Sayaka asked if she liked the book.

It was a great day and we had so much fun. Thank you very much for today and see you all tomorrow!

Ps: We had a wonderful time with buds at the park, too.

Love,

Petals
