Our Spring Break Adventure!
Welcome back to school everyone! We can tell everyone had a wonderful spring break! We couldn’t wait to hear about our friend’s adventures! We started our Monday morning playing with play dough, the sensory table and the wooden blocks. Our teachers made sure everyone was finished with the crafts we have been working on so they can start a brand new project on Wednesday. On one of our activity table, we had the magnet shapes. We had fun naming the shape and the color. We used similar shapes to make all kinds of things! At our sensory table we played a fun, “I SPY” game with our teachers. Our teacher would say, “I Spy” and then name something on our sensory table. We used the sticks to move things aside and try and find the thing!
After our morning free play time, we tided up the classroom then had our morning snacks! Once we were finished we sat down in the library and had book time. We gathered into a circle then sang some songs together! We sang the ABC song, then we sang the Good Morning Song. Nimo then asked us what we did for the break.
M: I went to Disneyland with mommy, daddy, and my sister. I went to see Snow White. I did rides too. Then mommy gave me her glasses.
G: I see a blue race car. I picked one, it’s a lego one. I have two now, a yellow one and blue one!
R: I went to a Fishy Place. I saw lots of fishies there. I cried because I wanted to see more fishies.
On my birthday I went to Disneyland and I buy lots of toys.
S: I play with Mirai.
L: (Ski?) Yes! (Did you have fun?) Yes!
E: My sister ski with a penguin.
E: I go to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. I ate breakfast. I went to a small fire station with mommy.
C: I went to Legoland, with mommy, daddy, R, and R. I saw a Ferris Wheel, I went in and I could see all they way over there.
L: Play with mommy!
A: Play with mommy.
E: Daddy buy a white robot. It’s so fast. The black one is for mommy.
M: Strawberry picking. I got a lot of strawberries, they were yummy! I go grandma and grandpa’s house.
T: I go to Nishi Azabu Aquarium. Shinagawa Park is behind it. After Aquarium, I told mommy I want to go home, but mommy said she wanted to buy me new sunglasses. Then I go swimming in the ocean!
J: I went to…I don’t know the name. I went to hotel. Daddy drive.
K: I went to the UK. I play with T.
K: Mommy Daddy Birthday!
P: I don’t know.
After we listened to all the amazing things our friends did over the break Nimo read us a book. “Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus” by Mo Willems. It was a funny story about a pigeon that wants to drive a bus, but we know pigeons can’t drive buses.
K: Woohoo a book!
M: It’s a pigeon! I see a lot of pigeons.
E: Only drivers drive the bus.
M: Kids have to sit.
After we made sure the Pigeon didn’t drive the bus, we talked about how we were going to ride a bus tomorrow for our Spring Picnic.
G: We need to sit down in the bus and buckle your seat.
C: Or hold on the bar.
M: Without seat belt, you can get a big ouchie…
After our circle time we put on our smocks then went to the park. We were all amazed with the beautiful sakura blooming! We had a great time running around together then we went back to school to have lunch!
It’s so great to see our friends again and we can’t wait for the exciting picnic tomorrow!
Have a great evening and we will see you all again tomorrow!
Love,
Petals
