Feathering Fun!

Monday, November 20th 2023: Feathering fun!

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a great weekend!

This week, we are wrapping up our turkey collages and will hold a group painting activity for our pumpkin! We’ll be using fall colors to cover it and continue practicing our songs “frosty the snowman” and “jingle bells”. The Buds will also be challenged with more fine motor exercises like hard clay and the beginning steps of holding scissors properly.

In the play area, we built a lego castle! N and A worked together on it to make it even taller! They are the king and queen of Lego land!

This morning we had crayons out on the first table and a giant paper for illustrations. N was excited to name all the colors and make doodles onto the paper!

At the back activity table, there was hard clay available for molding. B had a blast making a pizza out of the clay and using cutting tools to shape it! We LOVE pizza!

On top of the small table, we continued creating our turkey collages. The mix of colorful paper was a hit with everyone! L especially loved to peek through the colored cellophane. So cool! M came over to see and join the fun as well. She used her fingers very nicely to complete her turkey! N enjoyed feeling the sticky glue and paper pieces as he added them to his turkey. Gobble! Gobble!

Soon it was time to clean up and have circle time. We sang “frosty the snowman” and “jingle bells” with Brandon while he played guitar. We also all got to use real jingle bells! L and I were both jumping and dancing wonderfully together and cause their friends to catch the joy!

We read the story “leaves, leaves!” and practiced lining up nicely to prepare for snack. After we “gobble gobbled” our snacks away, it was time for us to go play at the park!

***NOTICE*** We are placing fliers for the 2023 Tokyo Expat Expo inside everyone’s backpacks this afternoon. If you are interested in going, please check their website for the event schedule or activities you may be interested in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Love,

Buds team
