Old McDonald
Hello Petals Class! Wishing you a marvelous Monday filled with fun and laughter.
Today we delved into a world of color and creativity with rainbow hair lacing. Each student adorned a carton head with beads on pipe cleaners and took turns grabbing pompoms with tweezers to strengthen their pincer grasp. Alongside this, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, the children began putting the pumpkin seeds into different colored solutions for our upcoming craft. After we packed away, Maryna led the dance class, captivating everyone’s attention. The children joyfully attempted to copy the dance steps.
Later, during our circle time, we gathered into a circle and practiced our Christmas song with Nimo. This week, we are going to learn about Farm Animals. Evita started reviewing the animals that live in the forest and introduced the farm animals.
Evita: Last week we learned about some animals. Do you remember which animals we studied last week?

E: If the farmer won’t give food to these animals, what will happen to them?
M: If you don’t feed them the farm will be empty.
J: I’ll buy aa the food and give it to the farm!
A: Eggs!
To practice what they have learned today, Evita played a game with the Petals Class. She asked two students at a time to pretend to be a farmer and listened to animals who were hungry. Animals who are taped on the floor will make a sound. Then students need to identify the hungry animal. After an active game, Evita read “ Who sank the boat”. It is about a cow, donkey, sheep, pig, and mouse who are trying to go in a small boat until it sinks.
E: Who do you think sank the boat?
M: Cow!
M: Donkey!
A: Pig!
R: Definitely not the mouse! It’s too small!
On our way to the park, M, L, A and R started to sing “Walking in the Jungle” and everyone joined in the singing. We enjoyed playing with the sand. T, E, R, and S started to catch some ants near a tree.
R: In Chiba House, there are big ants!
E: There! Ants!
S: They are really fast!
We had so much fun today! Let’s explore the farm animals more tomorrow!
Love,
Petals
