Apple picking

Happy Friday everyone!

Today we’ve had our fill of creative activities and we were happy about it because believe us, we are not lacking in creativity! On the first table we had a bit white paper available with lots of crayons for free drawing time! B, N and I particularly liked this activity, B copied the traces that Marjorie showed him and he was very good at making circles and zigzags. I made very beautiful clouds and N said she made a garden of pink flowers.

On the second table we continued building our craft apple tree to decorate the classroom with Brandon. We have finished painting what will be the base for the leaves of our tree. M really liked the feeling of the paint roller on the paper while N really liked using the brush and his finger to apply the paint on the paper.

On the third table we had some playdough that we made with Liezel! L and D really enjoyed playing with it! D was making balls while saying apple and L made a birthday cake for Liezel!

In the free play area, we had the mega blocks and T and O didn’t need more to turn the classroom into a construction site to build a big house!

We then started our circle time by singing! We sat in a circle and Brandon took out his guitar to start teaching us a Christmas song! We started with Frosty the snowman and after a good first rehearsal, we continued singing with the wheel on the bus but this time, we created our own version of it! The monkey went on the bus and we decided to have daddy AND mommy say I love you on the bus because, like our buds friends said, Mommy also says I love you!

Then we continued yesterday's topic about apple trees and apples falling from it and we made our own apple picking game (the apples were balls). We all really liked this game! A especially had a lot of fun picking apples!

We didn't go to the park today because it was raining so we stayed inside and did a little exercise in the classroom with the tents, slides and foam stairs. We also took the opportunity to finish the leaves for the apple tree craft that we are making for the classroom!

Thanks for today everyone! Have an amazing weekend and see you all on Monday!

Love,

Buds
