Where Do You Want to Travel?

…. was our question of the day, followed by “Why?”

After a tiring but fun park time (We were lucky that we were able to go as it didn’t rain that time even if the forecast says it will rain), we headed back to school. We had fun playing with Nimo and Liezel as they chased us all around the park.

We had another quiet time lying down on the floor and listening to nature sounds. It was nice to relax and calm down as we’re always busy as bees in Flowers Class. After that, we were ready for circle time!

“What’s circle time?” K wondered out loud. Our teachers say that it’s when we sit together in a circle and have a chat and learn something new.

For circle time, Pauline asked us to share our answers to our question of the day. Here’s what we had to say:

A: I want to go to A’s house and Nimo’s house to see what they do.

K: I want to travel to outer space to see the big planets

Y: I want to travel to my house and to have family day

K: I want to travel to Okinawa because want to see the ocean

H: I want to go to Tokyo….go to Aquarium to see the dolphin

R: I want to…. go to where there is snow because I love snow

R: I want to go to Tokyo Tower because it has shops or….. terrace

M: I want to travel to Israel because I want to be with my grandpa and grandma; also, there’s always juice. I have two babysitters that live in Israel.

K: I want to travel to Hawaii because I like to go to the pool- with mommy daddy and my two baby sisters.

A: I like house and I like dolphins and fish too. I don’t want to travel, just stay home with mommy, daddy, and K.

A: I want to travel to America because I want to play with my friends- in San Francisco.

S: Go to Israel. Umm.. swim I the ocean.

N: I want to travel to my grandpa’s house because I’m going tomorrow. I’m excited!

N: I want to travel to Osaka. I want to play there, they have a pool there

M: I want to travel to Hawaii because my cousins will be there. My cousins are traveling from America to Hawaii next, next Friday.

I: I want to go to my grandma and grandpa’s house- they are in New Jersey. They’re not in Japan. I live in LA. You all can come to my house for real.

Everyone: To L.A.?! YAAAAAYYYYY!!!!

K: Are we really, really going there???

A: Let’s go there!

Pauline: We’re going to take one big airplane just for Flowers Class… “Ladies and gentlemen, we are now landing at the Los Angeles International Airport..” and then we’re going to ride a bus and Nimo’s going to drive.

Nimo: *Pretended to drive a bus really fast*

Everyone: *We all burst out laughing at Nimo*

Liezel: Wow, we’re all traveling together!

N: Are you sure you can drive?

K: Do you have a license?

Nimo: I actually don’t have a license…

Everyone: Oh NOOOOOOOOO! *We all burst out laughing again*

We had so much fun chatting and learning more about each other during circle time. In the morning, we also had a fun chat with our special guests- R and ! They were back in Flowers Class “virtually” through Zoom. R read a book to us called “Marvin K. Mooney, Will you Please Go Now!” by Dr. Seuss, and we admire how nicely he read it. After that, we asked them a few questions:

Everyone: Where are you?

R: In America, St. Louis. It’s nighttime here.

Flowers: When are you going to sleep?

R: I don’t know.

R: What are you doing in America?

R: We play with grandma and we went to our Aunt’s wedding. We gave them the rings.

R: Do you like America?

R: Yeah, we have a big garden where we pick vegetables.

I: Do you like “Willy Wonka”? Have you read it?

R: Yeah!

I: How about “James and the Giant Peach”?

R: Yes, I read that too.

Is: How about the “BFG”?

R: No, I didn’t read that one.

I: You should read it some time.

M: What are you doing in America?

R: Lots of playing. I made a teddy bear.

K: How did you make a teddy bear?

R: We went to a toy factory, then we give it a name, give it clothes, and take it home.

N: What are you doing in America?

R: We went to the biggest Arch. Tokyo Tower is taller.

Pauline: how did you go up the arch?

R: It has an elevator with seats. We are also going to plant a tree in grandma’s garden.

Pauline: That sounds great! Maybe you can take a picture after.

R: Umm…It takes 46 years to grow.

Pauline: You can take a picture together with the baby tree and then send it to us in Flowers!

Everyone: Yeah!

We then bid R, R, their baby brother A, and their parents C and D goodbye, and we wished them a nice summer break. We also thanked them for "visiting" Flowers Class. Maybe we can see them around when they come back to Tokyo!

That’s all for this Tuesday. How about you? How was your day?

Love,

All the energetic children in Flowers Class
