The Bugs Memory Game
Good day everyone! Today was another great day, even when the sun hid behind the clouds. We saw that the rain was pouring. Some of us came by bike, and our dads and moms got so wet in the rain. Of course, we were all geared up with raincoats. As we entered the classroom, we showed our big smiles and greeted our friends and teachers with a sweet good morning.
Table Activities
We got the light table out today and had some colorful cellophane. It created a fantabulous color as we mixed blue and orange. It turned out to be a little bit green and brown. Then, we also had the translucent Lego blocks, which we used to create some cars and buildings.
Pegs, sensory materials, pom poms, and pipe cleaners were on the other table. As we tried to explore and understand the properties of these materials, we were able to create some vehicles such as boats, cars, and trucks and animals like giraffes, butterflies, and fish. Our imagination just ran wild, and we have done so many things in just a span of time. We're so ready to explore and manipulate these materials and make something new out of scratch.
Floor area
The cloth tunnel, sliding cushions, and balancing beams were laid out on the floor. We were all ready to make sure that everything on the floor was being maintained and explored by our friends. We started going into the tunnel, stepped on the cushion ladder, and went straight to the slide..weeee! The balancing beams were also on the floor. We stood on them and balanced ourselves with just one foot. It was good practice for all of us to develop our tummy (core) as we tried to do several workouts in the classroom. The tunnel was so popular too because we loved playing peek-a-boo. Whenever we came out of the tunnel, we always said, "boo!"
Circle time
Liezel played the Bug's Memory Game with us. She put the 3D- bug figures on the floor and identified all the bug's friends. We had a dragonfly, bee, ladybug, fly, spider and ant. Then, she covered the little creatures with a cloth and took one out. When she opened the cover, we found out that there was one missing. Was it the dragonfly? Bee? We all said, "Ladybug!" That's right! So with the next round, we guessed the word right again. Seeing how well we could remember all of these things was lovely.
Music Session
It was another fun day of song requests and dancing in the classroom. Today, we liked to sing "Papurika" many times over. Not only that, we even took the boomwhackers and started playing and making lots of unique rhythms and sounds together with our friends. We also read some books about sparkling bugs and creatures. The book was "The Busy Bee."
Thank you so much again for another beautiful day. See you all again next week!
Lots of love,
All the children from Buds Class 2022
