Show and Tell With H

Here’s one of our friends making a thank- you card for our firefighter friends….

Happy Wednesday! Today, was a perfect day to continue our….show and tell!

The teachers took a look at the books and saw that there are still some friends who hadn’t done their show and tell.

“I didn’t do my show and tell yet,” H commented.

“Hmm… okay, H. Do you want to do it today?” Pauline asked.

“Okay!” H said enthusiastically, and Pauline took her book from the basket.

“So… since this is quite a long story… you can just pick out your pages in the book and talk about them,” Pauline said. “What’s the title of this book?”

“It’s Elsa,” H said. Then she turned to the first page and she began telling the story.

“This is Elsa and Anna’s place. Elsa and Anna are just small. Elsa did power to Anna.” H began.

“How did Anna feel?”

“Cold,” H said. “Anna wants to play together but Elsa say no. Anna sing ‘For the First Time in Forever’. Anna is nice but do something. Fighting.

“Oh no!” Pauline said.

“Then Elsa says, ‘Let It Go’,” H continued. “Elsa likes her power. Anna go Elsa finding. Kristoff is snow.Kristoff and Sven and Anna is here. Anna and Kristoff is going to eat something. Then the wolf comes and wants to eat them! Elsa is controlling by herself. But Anna is not controlling by herself. Then the marshmallow come down. And Olaf is coming. The marshmallow eat but Elsa power to everyone. They are going to fight. They caught Elsa. He is tired. This one is scary and Anna is scared. They are going inside. Elsa going to power Anna and change. This one is power inside and this one is broken. Elsa is taking care of Anna by herself. Then Anna throws this guy away. Elsa go by herself. Elsa is now happy! The end.”

“Thank you, H!” we all told her and clapped for her. Her book was thick but she was able to turn page after page and describe to us what is happening in the pictures.

“Any questions?” H asked us.

“Comments?” Pauline asked.

“I like marshmallow monster,” L said.

“I like Elsa,” Co, R, A, L, and R said.

“Girls like Elsa. O likes Elsa, too,” H said.

“Nooooo! I like marshmallow monster,” O said.

“I like Anna,” C said.

“I like marshmallow monster, too,” K said.

“I like Olaf!” Pauline said.

“I like Elsa and Anna,” R and S said.

We thanked H again for a wonderful show and tell, and then we got ready to go to the temple. It has been a long time since we went there! We saw a lady who was taking out the weeds, and some of us watched what she was doing, and later, we helped her. We crouched down beside her and took out some weeds, too. Some of us observed an ant colony, and we saw lots of big, black ants, carrying bits and pieces to their home underground.

Our morning free play was quite busy, too, and some of us finished painting their canvasses with Kai. Some of our friends made a beautiful thank you card with Sayaka for our firefighter friends at the Roppongi fire station.

That concludes our midweek adventures. How about you? How was your day?

Love,

All the happy children in Petals Class
