A Day of Celebrations

A DAY OF CELEBRATIONS!

We love celebrating birthdays in Flowers! Today, we got to celebrate Hi’s 5th birthday. Many thanks to her mom, Sa who came to be a part of the celebration. Hi looked so much of a birthday celebrant as she wore her birthday crown that she decorated herself. We gave her a flower birthday card as a present. We hope you like it😊  At the party, we got to know more about Hi. We learned that she likes red and strawberry and that she likes to be a princess when she grows up. We had a wonderful activity time with Sa where she taught us how to do origami chopsticks case. Thank you so much for the presents, too!

There was another reason to celebrate today. A new friend came to join Flowers. Her name is A, and we call her A. A warm welcome to Flowers and Ohana community, dear A and her mom, Sa, and grand mom, Ka!  Circle time was the best time to welcome A. She smiled as she asked the teachers, “What is circle time?”. Ky replied, “Circle time is like we sit like this in circle and then we talk”, and that was what we did. We sat in a circle, and we thought it would be a brilliant idea if we could ask A some questions. Vieda asked A if it was okay to do that, and A happily answered, “Oh yes, of course!”.

  D: How you go here?

A: I go in the airplane. It was super long. The big plane was in Toronto, so we took a little plane to get to the big one.

            Da: Why you came here?

A: Because my mom wanted to get my snowman water.

B: When did you come to school?
A: Walk. My mom said it was 2 minutes.

Hi: Why come to my Ohana?

            Ab: My mom found it.

Au: What is your favorite snack?

A: I like salty chips My favorite is strawberries with chocolate.

It was really great to have you in Flowers, A!  We were about to finish circle time when A said, “Wait, I have something to say!”. She paused, and then guess what she said? I just love you! Aww, that’s so sweet! We can’t wait to play with you again! We hope we can build lots and lots of happy memories.

We enjoyed practicing our winter party songs and dance with Maryna. Singing and dancing to these songs make us feel like winter is such a fun time! We are looking forward to having you on our winter party on December 6th!

 PARK TIME

We would like to share some interesting things that happened in our park time. Please find out below😊

(1)   Hi, H, R, and Rei turned into princesses and were enjoying their special princess time. Suddenly, Ky and Da decided to run after the princesses. The princesses screamed as they tried to run as fast as they could! Ky and D seemed to be amazed at how the princesses could run so fast!

 (2)   On the other side of the park, A, Be, Au, and Sh had a fantastic time at the “drive-thru” Starbucks at the park pole.

A: Here’s the button that you need to press to speak and say what you want. You call it a speaker.

Be: I know that! I press it now. I want a drink, please.

Ab: You need to pay me 10 dollars for that.

Be: But I don’t have money.

Ab: You can get those leaves. That can be our money.

Sh: I want a drink in Hebrew.

A: Okay, we can do that.

(Au came.)

Au: I want to join, too.

A: You need to talk to the speaker.

(Au left and came back with a leaf.)

Vieda: What is that,  Au?

Au: This is my speaker. I talk to here and say, “Let it go! Let it go!” (Started singing).

Just as we were about to “leave” the “drive-thru”, A and Sh looked at the plants nearby.

Au: Look! These small ones are different from the flowers.

Sh: But look! Some small ones look like the same color of the flowers.

Au: I think the small ones, when they grow up, they can become flowers.

Sh: Wow, that’s very good! I like it! They are small ones first, and then become flowers.

Au: Vieda, what do you call the small ones?

Vieda: I think they are called buds.

            Sh: Buds?

Aug: Like Buds class! And when they become big….flowers? What? Like Flowers class!

            Sh Buds and Flowers class!

And that’s the story of our terrific Tuesday! See you all again tomorrow for another wonderful Wednesday😊  Please remember to wear your Ohana t-shirt.

 Love,

Flowers
