Here we go round the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush

Here we go round the mulberry bush, so early in the morning.

Good morning everyone! It was a great day again and we just entered our classroom with a beautiful smile on our faces. Apart from having a fantastic day, all of us were ready to take new learning experiences in the classroom.

 Table Activities

Sensory Bins

Today, we got our sensory bins out together with the oats, sand and rolled up newspaper balls. We enjoyed using our hands and  trying to explore them. We thought of questions like “How does it feel?”, “What shape can we make with it?” and “How can we get to explore this a lot more?” Our friends just decided to drop everything on the floor and the sensation of oats and  sand falling  from our hands was just mesmerizing. Hence, our teachers decided to just do the activity on the floor because we just love to make everything as explorative as it can be.

Diamond stickers on our painting

On the other table, we got some stickers that we could put in and we definitely understand the idea of putting more shiny sequins on our art. We were  actually excited to have something different on it and not just paint. We absolutely adore the idea of using our tiny fingers to put it on our big plastic canvas. It was amazing to have this activity as we explore more of our hands.

Circle time

For this activity, we had our good morning song. We said our names and it’s fascinating to see how we’re all in tuned with the music. The movement activity was also very interesting because our little bodies really need a lot of movement and exercises. We sang to the tune of Shake your sillies out and Here we go round the mulberry bush.  The more we move the more coordinated our bodies will be.

Flower pots

After our workout, we all sat down and looked at the colorful flowers that our parents gave our teachers. They were so colorful and fragrant and we all just loved to sniff and sniff. We had loads of flowers coming in and we just saw a few being arranged by our teachers. The beauty of these flowers is the fact that we are all celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s going to be our teachers’ lucky week!

Story time

I’ll wait Mr. Panda

We’re going on a bear hunt

Before we washed our hands, we read some books about Mr. Panda and the big bear hunt.  We love these story books and enjoyed singing it with our teachers.

Park time

For our park time, Moko-sensei and Tamara were also so kind looking after us while we’re walking on a busy street.  Once we arrived at the park, we got so excited and  loved to play with the ball here and there.  You should also see that some of our friends were very engaged in playing the sand. Sand play is always what we like to do in our class. We absolutely love everything about it.

Thank you so much Ohana for another beautiful day and see you all again.

Lots of love,

All the children from Buds Class
