Our Valentines Day Party!

Our hearts are filled with so much love and joy, because today we celebrated our Valentine’s Party in Flowers class! We all came and brought something special for our party, some of us wore a special dress too!

In the morning we helped our teachers prepare our classroom for the party, we set up the drape for our photo booth. We put up pink and purple silk with lots of cut out hearts in pink and red colors .We also added the Happy Valentine’s Day banner that we made yesterday. Vieda was in charge in taking photos of everybody, she was an amazing photographer.

On one table M, S, and U finished their cards and decorated their heart necklace. Our Valentine’s card was incredibly special to us because it was made with love and hard work, especially for our family. It took us time for us to finish it, because we must do it in small steps.  First, we traced and cut heart shapes, then we glued them on the card. The next day we thought of a message that we wanted write on our cards, and we did with our own invented spelling. And the last part was drawing a picture to make it more special! We felt so excited and we can’t wait to give it to our Mommy and Daddy. We are sure that this Valentine gift for them will make them feel our love. Happy Valentine’s Day Mommy and Daddy, we love You!

We had our special snack today too, we enjoyed our sweet treats from home, some of us brought delicious homemade cake from our Mommys, thank you for preparing our yummy treats today! After having our snacks, we helped our teachers to set up the room for our games. Our teachers said that we are all helpful and cooperative.

Games

We were so excited for our games today, we played a musical heart game. In this game we danced to the music and when the music stoped, we had to pick a mat to stand on. Liezel then chose a color and whoever was standing on the color she picked, they did the action that was on the mat. We did things like, jumping 5 times, patting our teacher’s back, dancing, flipping, skipping and some elbow bumps to a friend. It was so exciting and fun! We giggled each time we got a chance to do an action and we couldn’t wait for our turn. Another game was find your heart (find a partner), it was a bit tricky because we had to look for the matching half. “It looks like a broken heart,” Y mentioned. When the music stopped, we looked for the partner that has the other half of the heart shape. The last game was Target the heart where we must throw a ball in the box, there were two holes in the box one is on top of the box and the hole on the heart itself.   We did our best to get lots of points, it was a bit challenging for most of us. Nimo did a raffle for us to have a chance to take home a heart balloon, we each got a number during lunch time and then Nimo picked a number from Bingo ball and guess who are the lucky ones were today? Hooray for K and A!

We love music because it makes us dance! We learn a Valentine song with Liezel, we sang “Love Is Something If You Give It Away” in both English and Japanese. We also sang “Skidamarink” and the “H.E.A.R.T” song in the tune of BINGO. We love singing and we are all in the mood for dancing together with our friends.

It was a very short week and it went by so fast. Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend and we will see everyone again on Monday!

Love,
