Welcome back!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful fall break! It was nice to have a time off and spend more time with the family and go to less crowded places. We’ve missed seeing and  it’s quite good to have our friends and teachers around.

Free play

On our tables, we got some puzzles, connecting blocks, counting bears and Lego blocks in the circle time area. We used our hands in creating and matching colors. This is such a good practice of our sensory and fine motor skills. We also love to create towers and trains that we could move around the classroom.

Gym class

Tsurumi-sensei arrived at our classroom and we’re so happy to have him again. We love moving our bodies and making sure we have enough  energy for all of us to spend during the day. We started with our warm-up exercises by doing some animal actions. We ran to and fro until we’re able to master this exercises. One of the most fun things we did with Tsurumi-sensei was the rope activity. We crawled under it and jumped over it. The tricky of the rope was that it was moving while crossing over it. It was really joyful to see our friends having fun together.

Circle time

We did our good morning song and this time, we also talked about our feelings. Some of our friends said they were happy, one said hungry and another one said sleepy. We understand that fall break just finished. We also practiced our Halloween songs such as Skeleton dance and Go away, big green monster. Tamara was so kind to show us how to dance to the dance and we just followed her lead. Thank you, Tamara!

Story time

We read a book called, Boo! Made you jump! By Lauren Child. It was really funny how Charlie can also be scared of the simple tricks we do on Halloween!

Park time! This was our last activity of the day and we just ran around the green area and enjoy the sunshine on our faces! Thank you so much again Ohana for another beautiful day! See you all again tomorrow!

Lots of love,

All the children from Buds Class
