June 24 – Let’s pose!
Hello Wednesday! We are here again and we always have a positive attitude coming to Ohana. We love to be with our friends because playing with one another gives us a wonderful experience that we can get from Buds class. To start off, we saw some wonderful toys that we can play inside the classroom. Yurika and Ritsuka came first and they really liked to get the “Anpanman” construction toys. They kept on saying his name and it seems that our superhero is ready to rescue somebody. Sofia is always excited to come to school. She loves exploring the things around her and she definitely likes to paint and use her Posca markers to decorate our movie poster. Ivory and Griffin
were so busy as well. They loved to pluck the guitar strings. They both smiled and pretended that they were actually making music. Alexander was quietly molding his own play dough. It is very good to see him feeling more confident and well-adjusted with our class. Yuu-kun is now a happy boy in Buds class. He smiles a lot and plays with his teachers too. He also likes to get the construction toys to make his own building.
During our circle time, we saw our movie poster. It was so cool. Also, we had a chance to put more colors and even stars on it. We soon found out that our faces
were in the stars too. We truly are movie stars. Our teachers put the movie poster on our cabinet doors. And then, they told us to point at our faces. We were all able to find our faces with little help from our teachers. After that, we stood up and sang “Skip to my lou”. We skipped, jumped, flew and swam. We participated well and encouraged each other to dance and sing.
Yurika, Kaia and Sofia made a little circle and they danced together like three ballerinas. And then, we sat down and took the bells out. Ritsuka and Yurika were so cheerful playing with our bell game. Our teachers showed us that we can still make music even with our eyes closed. So, we also tried it out and we created such wonderful sound. Sofia was very concentrated and she loved playing with the bells.
After the short music class, we did some warm-up dance moves with Nanako. We sang “Open and Shut them” and “The Copycat song”. We were able to stretch our legs and move our fingers cooperatively. Griffin was pretty amazing when Nanako asked him to knock his knees. He was even trying to do the “pigeon” walk wherein we put our hand just right below our chin and the other hand touching our back. The girls, on the other hand, were so active too because they were able to sway and walk to the side around and around. Lastly, we gave our very best pose for the day. Just like a famous movie star!
Thank you so much Ohana for the wonderful day! Hope to see you all again tomorrow! Have a great day!
Lots of love,
John, Sayaka and Nanako
