We love our 7-5-3 bags!
6 November – Daily Journal
The trains are always popular when we put them on the floor in the morning. Everyone helped make the tracks at some stage and enjoyed putting lots of train carriages together.
We started making our 7-5-3 bags this morning. First Buds stuck on the kanji for celebration and then for the special candy children have at 7-5-3, chitose ame. Buds also chose an origami turtle from the various colored green ones (Thanks to Lisa and Jennifer for making these) and stuck it on
the bag. Buds wondered why Sharee was painting their hand white. We practiced opening and closing our hand so that when we stuck our hand on the paper, it was a nice open wide hand. The hand prints will turn into crane’s with the fingers being the feathers and the thumb being the neck and head.
Some buds also made their autumn leaf art. Some of the leaves have become quite dry so they are easy to break and make a great crunching noise, which Buds liked so they
had fun crunching a few leaves while they were sticking them onto the contact paper.
In circle time we talked about autumn and read a book about autumn leaves. We can see autumn leaves everywhere now. And we have notice it is a lot colder compared to summer. When we go to the park, we need a warm sweater or a jacket. We haven’t had our bumble bee out for a while
but we got it out so our new Bud, Rei can learn our names. Today everyone said their names which was a first. The teachers were so happy!
We were pleased it stopped raining and we could go to the park. Today we practiced throwing and catching balls with the teachers. We have a
lot of different levels of ball skills!
Thank you
