Free Flow Friday

Today was a special Friday! Our teachers called it “Free Flow Friday” which is a day where we can go to other classes and play with Flowers and Buds! While we waited for our friends to arrive at school, we played with the car toys and worked on our crafts from yesterday. Once all of our friends were at school, Nimo explained what we were going to do and we split up into three groups. Each group would get to go to each class for 45 minutes! When we arrived at each class, we sat down and introduced ourselves to our Buds and Flowers friends. Then, we listened to the rules and how to play at each table. Once our teachers were done talking about the rules, we were free to play at any of the tables!

In Buds Class we had lots of fun activities to play with! We had a carrot-finding sensory table. Inside the shredded brown and black paper were small carrots hiding! We used our hands to dig into the paper and find as many carrots as we could! We had play doh, fireflies and dino egg counting! We even had a fun obstacle course prepared for us! 

In Petals Class, we started singing our name song! Nimo handed out our name plates and blank ones to our Buds and Flowers friends so they could write their names in. We sang the song together and spelt our names! Our theme in Petals Class is about Families. We had wooden blocks to build houses, play doh with people figures, and a baby bear ice breaking game! On our art table we dunked our hands in piles of shaving cream with water color in them! After we packed away our toys, we gathered back together then did a little bit of Yoga to cool down and head over to our next class.

It is always exciting to visit Flowers Class! They had many fun puzzles for us to play with and a big box of Lego! Some of our Flowers friends explained how to do the puzzles and showed us how they make their towers super tall! We also had magnet letters to play with, which was perfect because we have been practicing how to spell our names!

We had a fun and exciting day in each class and after we experienced each class it was already for lunch time! We did a very short circle time to review what we did in each class and talked about how much fun we had!
