A visit to Tennessee

Howdy everyone! We made our sakura branches in the morning then took another visit to the USA! This time we had Brandon come to Petals and introduce us to Tennessee!

Brandon: What do I have on my head?

R: America!

E: Esmi and Nimo are from America.

W: *Pointed at the American Flag* I have it too!

M: Flag!

Brandon: I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s sometimes called Smokey Mountains. It is known for music as you can see a guitar here in the picture.

Petals: Tennessee!

M: I like music city.

E: I 100 like music.

Brandon: We like to fish in Tennessee. *Passed around a bass fish plushie*

E: You can eat it?

M: I like bass fish.

R: Is this you? *Pointed at the man in the picture*

Brandon: No this isn’t me this is one of my relatives. We also have these *passed around a black bear plushie*

M: Bear!

N: A black bear.

B: We like to eat lots of fish and meat, do you like hamburgers?

R: I eat hamburger everyday.

E: I eat hamburgers every single day.

D: I like meat!

M: I like pizza!

M: I like fish.

N: Me too! 

Brandon taught us his name in Cherokee which means Little Falcon. He let us ask him some questions before Brandon went back to Buds Class.

D: I am from Korea. Have you been to Korea?

Brandon: No, I haven’t been to Korea yet.

E: *Pointed at the hurricane on the world map* What is this name?

Brandon: This is a waterspout or a tornado.

We thanked Brandon for taking the time to share some facts about his hometown with us!

Before we did our last rehearsal, we looked at the map of America and looked at where our teachers were from.

R: Esmi is from this one *California*

I: *Pointed at Tennessee* Brandon.

E: Nimo, Brandon, Lucy from USA.

Nimo: Lucy is from the UK. Do you remember who is from Utah?

R: Cameron!

Nimo: I’m from Colorado, it’s very famous for skiing!

D: I don’t like ski.

R: Daddy ski all day, and C too!

Our theme for our Mother’s Day Event are muffins. We read the words on our window then talked a little bit about muffins. We looked at a picture of a cupcake and a muffin and tried to point out the differences.

E: Cupcake!

M: Yummy! I like cupcakes!

R: This one have muffin. I don’t have muffin.

D: Cupcake have cream!

Nimo: What do you think is inside the muffin?

E: Raspberry?

R: Grape? … Blueberry!

Nimo: We are going to do a muffin craft with our moms tomorrow!

J: Happy!

Nimo: What kind of muffin do you want to make?

S: Princess muffin.

D: Evita, what muffin do you like?

Evita: I like banana muffins.

D: No!

M: I want princess muffin too.

P: Paw Patrol.

M: Princess!

M: Paw Patrol.

J: Chocolate!

W: Paw Patrol

I: Strawberry.

We did our last rehearsal then played musical chairs and danced to Highway Number One!
