Happy Friday everyone! Today was filled with fun and preparation for our special day on Monday! We started our day finishing our presents for dad and then we played with play-dough!
After morning free play, we started rehearsal for Dad’s Day! We practiced many times until it was time for our circle time. We started circle time asking our petals friends to do their jobs.

M: Friday! 21..
Esmi : It’s a special day today. It’s someone's birthday. Is it mine?
M : Me! *points to herself *
M : It’s sunny!
J : S, J…. I don’t know *smiles*
E : M and Y!
J : Thank you E!
Esmi : What did we learn this week? What did we do with M’s mommy and daddy? P’s mommy?
E : Hanzu!
M : My house have hanzu!
Esmi : What is hanzu?
E : Chinese !
R : Su, yu (fish)
M: Sakana!
E : *counts in Chinese*
Petals : We learned numbers!
Esmi : What did P wear?
M : yellow… Kimono!
R : Kimono! Qi pao!
M : I like kimono!
R : I like this one *points to qi pao*
After our circle time, we had a birthday party for M!
E : What are you doing?
M : M mommy and daddy sitting!
J : What?
M : M Happy Birthday today!
We played a fun game where we had the balloons at one side of the classroom and we used the stretchy sticky hands to catch the balloons! M’s mom and dad gave each of us a popper bracelet to take home! Thank you!
After the party, we did M’s International Month presentation. They told us they were from California and moved to Japan when M was one year old!
Finally, we finished today off with rehearsal and ate our yummy lunches.
