Same, Same, but Different
Happy Friday everyone! Today we started off morning free play finishing our New Year’s craft , playing with cars, play dough and puzzles! It was a very busy morning. For circle time we talked about the day, danced to some songs and played a game!
Morning Free Play
S : He (W) is making a mess!
W : No!
J : Look! Me pizza! Pizza! Pizza! Like this pizza! *Shows M his play-dough pizza*
R : I have another dragon in my backpack.
E : Really?
R : Yes!
E : Where?
R : In my backpack!
E : Show me!
M : I like you E!
R : What about me?
D : I like so many friends!
R : I like everyone!
Circle time
Petals : What day it is D?
D : Friday, 24th!
I : *touches the sunny mark*
Esmi : Thank you D. Now everyone, do you remember the big question this week?
M : Where were you born!
E : China!
Esmi : Yes MeiMei! That’s right. We talked about where we were born with our friends this week.
D : I born in Korea!
M : I china!
R : Me Hong Kong!
Then we played a game. The game had two steps. First, we find our pictures hidden around the classroom, then we play hopscotch and put our picture in the country we were born in.
For story time we read “Same, Same but different” by Jenny Sue Kosteck-Shaw. The story was about the similarities and differences between two countries, USA and India. We learned that even though some friends have different landscapes and homes, we all can do the same things like climb trees or play.
We had a great time playing at Step Park and enjoyed our lunches!
Thank you all for another fabulous day! Have a wonderful evening and we will see you again next week!
Love,
Petals
