Reigniting Routine!

Friday, January 10th - Reigniting Routine!

TGIF!

Today we were joined by our new friends S and K! Welcome to buds class!

On the front table, there was a beautiful new PINK play doh out and ready for sculpting! L pinched tiny pellets out and laid them in a row, pointing to each as if to count them. N was fascinated by the flower cookie shapes as he stamped several out on the table with a smile.

At the back table, we all added the last rounds of colorful stamps onto our year of the snake poster paper. K was very curious and picked a purple color stamper to create dots all over! He really enjoyed stamping and laughed as he also watched his other friends joining in.

In the free play area, the trains waited eagerly for us to climb in and chug along! K had lots of fun driving his engine through some of the tunnels, while Ichiri happily helped build more tracks for the railroad! S and L teamed up to help build as well! What a great team of engineers!

After we cleaned up and enjoyed our snacks, we gathered for circle time and sang along with Brandon as he played his guitar. We introduced ourselves and afterwards we read the story “one, two, three to the zoo!”. In the book, we counted the number of animals from one to ten. It was lots of fun to imitate the animals and work on counting in a sequence.

Afterwards, we practiced holding the rope which we use to walk to the park together! To some of us, it's a familiar tool to help us safely walk together to and from the park! Y did a great job of lining up to find a color ring to hold. He demonstrated how to nicely hold on and walk! Thanks Y!

We all practiced walking around the room while holding the rope and pretending we were a big train. When we reached “tokyo disneyland station”, we let go of the rope and found there were pop up tents and a big slide for us to enjoy! R immediately went to the slide and zipped down with a big squeal! Nearby, S and S played with lego cars and pretended to drive them along the floor for a fun road trip. Those two really love cars!

Pretty soon, it was time for us to clean up and wash hands just before settling in for lunch. YUM!

We hope you all have a great rest of your day. Have a great weekend everyone!

Love,

Buds
