Painting Our Feelings
CIRCLE TIME
We began our circle time by answering our question of the day!
T & M: Do paintbrushes have feelings?
Most of us said no, but some of us said yes.
J: When you’re painting, the paintbrush says, “Why am I moving!?”
M: They have feelings because I like it!
R: I think this one says, “Why am I not clean?”
We can’t figure out how to verify if the paintbrushes in our classroom actually have feelings, but it’s fun to imagine what they might be feeling if they did.
Because of that, it’s up to us to put the feeling into the brush whenever we paint a feeling or an idea. Today we would be painting our feelings with those brushes.
We started by making a list of colors!
R: Pink
A: Purple
T: Red
Y: Green
Z: Rainbow
T: Yellow
J: Gold
Then a list of feelings/emotions.
T: Angry
S: Sad
Y: Happy
A: Tired
M: Sleepy
J: Silly
R: So-so
Y: Good
After that, we went to the balcony to try to put all three things together (paintbrush, color, and feeling) to create a visual representation of some feelings.
We only had six available spaces for painting our feelings today, and because everyone really wanted to have a chance, we will open up the balcony for free painting starting tomorrow morning! Let’s all think about how we can put our own feelings onto paper!
See you all tomorrow! Have a great night!
Love,
