Here Comes The Sun!

Thursday August 29th, Here comes the sun!

Happy Thursday!

We started the day by illustrating on a BIG sheet of paper! We saw there was a picture of a happy face, with the words “happy” from place to place. E jumped right in and made her lovely green color dance all over the paper! She really likes to color!

On the second activity table, there was our beautiful green play doh ready to sculpt! I and M brought over some animals to stamp their footprints with great joy! They smiled and laughed together after making stamp sound effects.

In the free play area, A and Y showed nice cooperation sharing the train track materials together and also great focus when building an awesome track! You two are excellent engineers! Keep it up! S and L teamed up to pretend with their bulldozers together by the door. They made motor sounds, making them super realistic! They really seem to like construction vehicles!

After we cleaned up and packed away our toys, we sat down in a circle and sang the morning song together and also the “how are you today?” song! Everyone did a great job listening and clapping along. We are getting use to the lyrics as well. Pretty soon, we will all be familiar with the lyrics and sing along with the teachers!

After we washed our hands ang gobbled up our snacks, we then used yellow colored items to decorate and stick onto soft laminate sheets! This is because we have been talking about happiness this week as one of the major emotions we feel! These items like cellophane, feathers and more will create a happy sun shape! We all participated in adding items and R showed enormous enthusiasm happily adding to the mural! A and I teamed up too to play with and feel the different items in their hands, sticking and stamping away with a big smile!

By the way, what color makes you happy?

Love,

Buds
