Happy World book day!
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Today was a special day, today is world book day! And we all came to school dressed as our favorite book character with our favorite book!
L, P and N were Peppa Pig, Y was a pink penguin, I a little cow, M was a Daruma, D a funny alien, Y was Jojo, I a little princess, I an astronaut, M the cute Posy the mouse and T a strong beaver!
Our teachers were also dressed as characters from the book that we really like to read in class: Betty Schwartz’s book “What makes a rainbow?”. Brandon was the blue bird, Tamara the purple butterfly, Liezel the yellow chick and Marjorie the red ladybug.
On the first activity table there was a construction game with connecting beads, T, L and D created an impressive tower!
On the second activity table we played with playdough, M and M used the cookie cutters while I and I made meatballs.
In the free play area we played with mega blocks, I made a house for Anpanman while Y watched her and brought her blocks. Y was using the car and P was making another house.
But even though we played, we were all so happy to have our books that we spent a large part of the morning reading our books! We took advantage of World Book Day to read a looooot of books!
During circle time we talked again about world book day and Marjorie read us some books that our friends brought to school, it was very fun!
After snack time we got ready to go for a long walk outside before going back to school to eat our lunch!
Thank you for today everyone! Have a wonderful afternoon and see you all tomorrow!
Love,
Buds
