It IS Easy Being Green!
Thursday, March 28th : It IS easy being green!
Thursday already!
Today marked our final day with Vieda, we all really enjoyed her company and had lots of fun with her for the teacher swap days! Thanks Vieda!
On the front table this morning we had the threader puzzles to help jump start our fine motor skills!
At the back table was our HUGE Earth Day poster which we added some more GREEN color to! P and M stepped up to the challenge and did a great job stamping more handprints! Thanks! It’s going to look AWESOME!
In the playroom there were lots and lots of food toys for us to cook and serve to our friends and teachers! We even got to wash and prepare vegetables and fruits! M was excited to be a chef and her friends N and L also were cooking hamburgers together! SUPER YUM!
Once we cleaned up, it was time for us to join in a circle and observe our next magical color, GREEN! We reviewed that when we mix yellow and blue, we get GREEN!
The teachers asked us to take a look at some special items like toy fruits and people puzzle shapes, find the ones that were green and place them onto a BIG GREEN mat. We noticed many things share the awesome green color, like grapes, apples and pears! T and D found apples and pears were GREEN right away! So fast!
We also read the story “Little Yellow and Little Blue”. It was about the friendship between yellow and blue dots. We saw that when they hugged, they made GREEN! Wow! I was fascinated by the colorful pages of the book, along with his buddies. So pretty!
Pretty soon it was time for us all to munch down our snacks and head to the park! Once we got there, we noticed our Flowers friends were there! Some of us played on the jungle gym and others got the chance to safely go down the slide with the Flowers and Buds teachers’ help! I and N were very brave to go down the slide and wanted to go again and again! ZOOOOM!
How many GREEN things can you find at your house?
See you tomorrow!
Love,
Buds
