What do Chef's do?
Tasty Tuesday everyone!
Today Petals Class came in with lots of stories about the snow fall yesterday. We chatted while we continued doing our Valentine's Garland with Evita. We also practiced spelling our names with Nemo using clay.
L started our circle time by leading the Good Morning song, everyone beamed with pride as they said their names. Continuing our journey into the world of community helpers, we focused on culinary masters- Cooks and Chefs. Evita initiated the class by asking what they had for breakfast. She continued to engage the class by asking if they go to restaurants with their families and pretended to take their orders that pave the way into discussing what Cooks and Chefs do and are they important. After discussing the ways Cooks and Chefs helps the community, she transitioned to pizza making by asking the class how Cooks and Chefs make pizza. The class then separated into 3 small groups which are tasked to create their own pizza. Students explored their culinary creativity as teachers asked them what and how many toppings they would put. The last task for each one is to name their pizza.
