Time To Board!

Thursday, February 29th : Time to board!

This morning on the front table there were some very interesting wooden puzzles set up! We used the different pieces to match colors and build patterns. I loved the springy wood puzzles and showed the teachers how to bounce them into the color cups. He thought it was very funny to SPRING them into action!

At the back table there was a different kind of puzzle using only numbers! P and L were hard at work solving the number sequences together. They really like puzzles!

In the playroom, we had lego blocks set out by popular demand. H was delighted to jump right in and start building! Pretty soon, L came over and showed Henri how to build onto the lego cars! Thanks!

Once we quickly cleaned up, Our special guests arrived! It was T, his mom and dad! They came this morning to teach us about and celebrate the new country we traveled to, RUSSIA! SO cool! We learned where Russia is on the world map. T’s dad shared a very famous style doll set decorated as animals where one would reveal a new animal inside of another! We even saw pictures of the famous capitol Moscow! D was amazed by the beautiful architecture of the city and stared at its amazing shapes and colors.

He also taught us about the many amazing animals that lived in Russia and were amazed to see that it is the largest country! Woah! Our favorite animals were the great big brown bear and polar bear! ROAR!!! T also shared some traditional Russian percussion instruments that look like very beautiful spoons and wooden sound makers. M loved the wooden clackers so much and held them for most of the visit. Haha!

T’s mom shared a very cool upbeat traditional Russian dance song and we all used our musical instruments to follow the beat as it became faster and faster! She even showed us a dance! Wow! I was so into the music that she could hardly contain herself to dance along!

Thank you for Sharing your beautiful background T and family!

See you!

Love,

Buds
