Mixing Things Up!

TGIF!
This morning on the front table we played with colored bear tokens! We used bubble scissor grabbers to pick them up and sort them into like-colored bowls!
N made a cool set of patterns with the green and blue bears! N and D worked together to share the bears and pretended to serve them as yummy fruits! Thank you! Nearby, P colored a picture with crayons. It was calming to watch and she seems to really enjoy coloring!
In the playroom, there were musical instruments and giant lego blocks out by popular demand with Liezel. L built an amazing tower just as big as him! Ichiri and T were really into books together. They seem to like sharing stories with one another
Once we gathered for circle time and sang our morning song, Brandon showed us some paints and asked us which colors we saw. We saw RED, BLUE, YELLOW and GREEN! We learned that red, blue and yellow are called PRIMARY COLORS and was asked by Brandon to mix one of each color to find out what they create! It was lots of fun!
I mixed blue with red to make purple! She really loved seeing it come to life on the poster paper! M was also very eager to participate, smearing red and blue onto the poster paper with a HUGE smile! She loves to paint!
After discovering new colors, we read a story called “one” about friendship and how it brings us joy when colors combine to make new colors! Pretty soon after the story, we ate our snacks and departed for the park! We enjoyed a bit more sun today and had fun kicking balls together! Brandon and I were laughing a lot while they kicked back and forth to each other. I loves to play kickball!
By the way, moms and dads, if primary colors create secondary colors, what do secondary colors make?....
See you next week!
Love,
Buds
