Pop Goes the Colorful Bubble!

Monday, October 7th- Pop Goes the Colorful Bubble!

Welcome back everyone!

Today we went for a long park outing but first we all explored art through bubble painting! Brandon gave us a bubble wand and some bubbles that were colored exciting orange! Everyone was excited to come and give it a try on the balcony. Some of us waved the wand to make big orange bubbles, while others used their breath to blow many different sizes of them! The bubbles all landed on top of our big excitement poster we have been slowly adding orange colored features to! When they popped, they left behind an orange ring of color! What a cool way to paint!

Inside the classroom, the light table was lit up and ready for us to explore once more with lovely rainbow colored blocks out on top! Seeing these translucent blocks all lit up and ready for building, filled us with excitement! Some of us built tall TALL towers out of them, resembling the Tokyo SkyTree! Nice work!

On the back table was our beloved orange play doh ready for molding and people connectors. We always love to play with it because it’s so squishy! It also helps us develop our fine motor muscles and it’s a great opportunity for us to work alongside our friends by sharking the clay tools and offering delicious pretend treats to one another!

At circle time, we all recited each other’s names and then Brandon helped us count out all of the friends that were in class by offering everyone a pretend purple sweet potato! We were so excited to have one and to also combine them, counting them all together! We counted up to seven today! SEVEN SWEET POTATOES! After our counting activity, we read the story “Leaves, Leaves!” once more. The autumn leaves from the story haven’t made their way to us outside yet but we were all very eager to go to the park to investigate!

The weather was a bit warmer than yesterday and when we arrived at step park, we had the whole place to ourselves! Yay! The teachers chased us and we laughed our heads off at them as they made silly faces. Suddenly… We spotted a giant moth! It was so big! The teachers even found a BIG worm crawling along the ground as well! We were so interested to see lots of creatures out and about today!

Thank you so much and have a great afternoon!

Love,

Buds
