Spooky Numbers and a Haunted House!
Tuesday, October 15th - Spooky Numbers and a Haunted House!
Terrific Tuesday everyone!
This morning we worked on our Halloween candy bunting by designing white paper with multicolored stamps! We can’t wait to hang them up for the occasion! N and L showed amazing fine motor control when holding and using the stampers!
On the front table we had a giant illustration paper. S and L used blue and orange crayons to make lots and lots of lines! They enjoy drawing and making car sounds together! VROOM! Nearby, M and I made some delicious cupcakes from the orange play doh! They love to bake cakes for their friends. So nice!
In the free play area, Y was the resident farmer. He took care of all the farm animals and even invited his friends to come play with him. Soon, I came over and also N to join the fun!
Once we settled for circle time, we sang our morning song as usual and then Brandon blew up a balloon for us to practice counting! He showed us that we can tap it up into the sky and count a number for each time! We counted ten together but some of us had the chance to try on our own. I and S were excited to try and they both tapped the balloon up 5 times! Wow! What a fun way to count together! M helped her friends take a turn by passing it to them nicely. Thank you M! After we each tried a turn at tapping and counting, we read the story “Wombat Stew”!
Afterwards, we talked about halloween and all joined together to crawl through a spooky and silly haunted house! Brandon wore a silly mask and made funny sounds as we crawled through the house and tunnel. A laughed out loud and circled around over and over to go through many times! H and N both loved the wavy purple spider webs and swished them around with happy squeals!
Pretty soon, it was time for us to enjoy our snacks and make our way to the park!
Thank you for today, friends!
