Unlocking the Magic of Color
Happy Wednesday!
We started the day with three different activities:
In the free play area we played with drums and shakers. T had lots of fun playing the drums and making a crash! In the front, we had one table of sensory material bins ready and another with the light table and translucent toys set up. N and L showed their curiosity of the wood bin items by investigating the items with magnifying glasses. What a great way to closely look at things in new ways! B built an amazing city from translucent materials. The kingdom of color! M was very focused building her tower of rainbow blocks at the light table. Beautiful work!
N also had lots of fun sorting the different colored and shaped sea shells in another bin. Close by, I and L were happily smiling and enjoying looking at her life book together. She pointed and stated all the names of her family to him! Thanks for sharing!
During circle time we read the silly nursery rhyme book “Down by Jim Long’s Stage”. It had lots of colorful fish and made us laugh! Once that was finished we sang “Five Little Ducks” again and got ready for snack time.
After our snack we came back to the play area and practiced our exciting sports game “Kaki no Ki”! We got to throw orange colored balls into a basket pretending they were persimmons! So funny! I and O were laughing so loudly while trying to collect all the persimmons.
Thank you for today!
Love,
