Happy Grandparents day!

Happy Monday!

To start the day we played with playdough. We usually make delicious food with it but today our buds friends decided to turn the playdough into a Monster Trucks drive! L, L and N really enjoyed rolling the cars on it!

Then, our teachers told us that today was Grandparents Day and there is no way we were going to end the day without making a gift for our grandparents who we love so much! But our grandparents are not all in Japan, so with our teachers we had the idea of making our craft in a postcard shape so that we can send it to them wherever they are on the planet! We painted them with our hands, then we decorated them with stickers and finally we glued our photos on it to tell our grandparents how much we love them! This craft is what took up a large part of our morning and we all really enjoyed making it!

We then started our circle time by dancing and working on our endurance to start preparing for our sport day! We plan to win as many medals as possible! Go, Go Buds team, Go, Go! I and N really enjoyed dancing with the scarves!

Then we sat down and we talked about Grandparents Day. There were figures of people of different ages displayed in front of us and we had to recognize which ones were the grandparents, I recognized the grandfather right away while L showed us which one was the grandmother! Then Liezel read us Jayne C. Shelton’s book called "In Grandma's Arms". After that story Marjorie read us "Grandpa and me" by Katz. To finish our circle time, we all sang together the Kiboomers song called “Grandparents day” !

“Love somebody, can you guess who? Love my Grandma, yes I do!
Love somebody, can you guess who? Love my Grandpa, yes I do!”

Then for our walk today we went to the temple and we discovered lots of insects! B discovered the shell of a cicada, N followed a butterfly to see where it landed and we all observed Tamara who had a spider on her hands!

Then it was already time to go back to school and eat our lunch!

Thank you for today everyone, have a wonderful afternoon and see you all tomorrow!

Love,
Buds class
