I love my daddy!

Good evening daddy and mommy! Hope you had a lovely day like we did! Some of our friends were gone for a trip last week and they were excited to tell us where they went. R said that he went to see lots of animals in Hakone. C had a big smile and said, “I went to Hokkaido and I already came back!” It sounded like they had an amazing trip!

We had a bit longer free play time today. We were busy with the last preparations for our daddy’s day. We hope our daddy will like the special presents. The play area of the classroom was filled with wooden colored blocks. Playing with blocks encourages us to express ourselves and helps us to show our creativity.  After we had snack time we had a very short and simple circle time and headed to the park. It was a very cold day again so running around at the park helped us keep warm.

For our circle time today, we started by doing a short body movement activity with Sayaka. Keeping our balance with one foot was a bit tricky, but It was fun! Sayaka showed us the book for today and the title was パパだいすき I Love My Daddy By セバスチャン ブラウン Sebastien Braun. It was a very simple, calm, warm, and adorable story. The story was about a day in a life of a daddy and his cub. They were bonding in several ways, “My daddy walks with me”, “My daddy feeds me”, “My daddy tickles me,”. Then we commented, “My daddy, too!” “I walk with my daddy, too!” “I love my daddy, too!” We enjoyed the story time.

After we finished our story time, Sayaka asked us, “Do you love your daddy, too? When do you feel you love your daddy?:

C: I love my daddy. *Big smile. Because he’s funny!

T: Sometimes my daddy tickles me and sometimes my daddy is going to the park with me. I love going to the park with my daddy.

K: Tatsuro is teaching! Yes! *My daddy is teaching that’s why I love him.

R: My daddy sometimes play with me.

E: Dad plays with me, he says, “Let’s play!”

M: He tickles me and plays with me.

S: He play with me. Park. I love going to the park with my daddy.

L: Eating.

G: I love my daddy. Play car with me.

L: Play. 

Talking about our beloved daddy gave us lots of smiles!

Then L suddenly said, “Hungry!” That made us teachers laugh! “Who is hungry?” Sayaka asked us and we all raised our hands and said, “Meeeeee!” Luckily it was the perfect time for lunch so we started washing hands and enjoyed our delicious lunch. 

One more day for our special daddy’s day! Thank you very much and we all see you tomorrow.
