Happy 5th Birthday!
We can’t believe that today was our last day of this term! School days might be just a few days in December but that won’t stop us from celebrating our December birthday celebrations. Many thanks to M, Ri, and Ya for all the preparations you made to make Ei and Cl’s birthday party memorable! Please find out below how fun and exciting the birthday party was!
ORNAMENT CRAFT
We love looking at the ornaments hanging on the holiday trees. So, we got very excited when we learned that we were going to make our own ornament! Each of us had a holiday tree which we filled with snowflakes, cute gift boxes, potpourri, and other art materials. Then we closed the tree and sealed it with sparkly tape to make sure our art materials were inside. Our holiday tree ornaments were simple adorable! We were so happy that we got to take them home today.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
Happy 5th birthday, Ei and Cl! As always, we made sure that they had their birthday crowns before we started the party. Both E and Cl were so happy to ask friends to put on their birthday crowns and birthday cards as well. Since they are going to turn 5 years old, Flowers can ask them five questions.
Ke: Why do you have a birthday?
E: I don’t know… because it’s when we were born.
Vieda: Were you in an egg when you were born?
Cl: No!
E: From mommy’s tummy.
Vieda: Do you remember what pregnant means?
R: It’s baby in tummy.
Ta: M isn’t a female.
Gr: Why did you make your crown?
E: I just imagined it.
Cl: To make it better.
C: Why do you have a cake on birthday?
Cl: My mommy said, “eat cake”.
Ei: Well, I eat cakes before because I love cake.
Mi: Will you celebrate your real birthday?
Ei: We’re celebrating on 8th. Real birthday is yes.
Sh: Why do you wear a crown on your birthday?
Cl: Because it’s my birthday
E: Well, because I like golden and my crown is golden!
After our Question and Answer with our birthday celebrants, we had a pinata game! Yay! We put on a blindfold and took turns in trying to pop the star pinata, but to no avail. Ri, M, and Ya tried too but it didn’t pop either. How about Nimo? He tried but it didn’t pop and so he managed to pop it using his hands😊Of course you know what we did when it finally popped! Then, we took a group photo with our birthday cake. We got very excited when we saw the cake! Please check out the photo on Class Dojo.
SHARING TIME
Ke was so proud of the photos he shared with us this morning. He showed it to everyone and announced, “This is me and gingerbread man! I made a gingerbread man. It’s like the people, but it’s a gingerbread man”. Re also shared the story of gingerbread man.
Re: I know the story. There is fox, horse like that and gingerbread man ran, and fox ate it.
Gr: Why are there marshmallows?
K: Because we eat it. I’m smiling here because I decorate gingerbread man. I put some yummy glue, chocolate, sprinkles and marshmallows.
Ei: The place next to the ginger is a bit of a mess.
K: Yes!
Mi: Why did you make it?
K: Because I like it!
G: I made a ginger that looks like Santa, then I eat it.
T: I eat this, too before!
Thank you so much for sharing, K! We can read The Gingerbread Man story in Flowers next time.
Happy Holidays everyone! Thank you so much for all the love and support you showed us this term. We are looking forward to seeing all of you next year. We can’t wait to hear your stories about your winter holidays.
Lots of love,
Flowers
