Snowflakes, little snowflakes
Happy Monday everyone!
We already finished our first day of winter school, can you believe it?
We started the day by playing with the connecting people on the first activity table, N and L started tying them together to make a long line and I and L joined them afterwards. They were all so happy to show the teachers the long line they all did together.
On the second activity table we started our first winter school craft - Our snowflakes. The first step was to paint our wooden sticks blue so that they looked like ice cubes. Then we glued glitter on them to make them sparkly! Tomorrow we will do the last step, we will glue our sticks together to make the shape of snowflakes. We're excited to see what it will look like once it's finished.
In the free play area we played with lego blocks and everyone was very creative! L told us he made L’ s house, I said she made Anpanman’s car, and L and N collaborated to make what N called a big castle.
We started circle time by playing the drum game with Liezel, it’s a great game to use our Listening ears, if Liezel hit the drum once, we had to jump, if Liezel hit the drum without stopping, we had to run and if Liezel knocked very gently on the drum, we had to Tippytoes very slowly without making any noise, and we were all incredible at this game, it was so much fun!
Then we sat in a circle to do our good morning song and we talked about snowflakes, what they were and when we could see them. We then danced to the Snowflakes song and as L asked us to play Jingle bells as well, we took the shakers and started dancing on it too!
We then sat in a circle one last time to listen to Ian Whybrow and Ed Eaves’ story “Say hello to the Snowy animals”.
We then went for a walk near the temple and it was already time for us to go back to school to eat our lunch!
Thank you so much for today everyone! Have a wonderful day and see you all tomorrow!
Love,
Buds
