Stamp of approval!

Hello and happy Thursday!

This morning we had our big train set laid out in the large play area, some threading animal card games for strengthening our fine motor on the back table and sweet potato shape stamping collaboration on the front table!

N, A and D worked as a team in the play area to make a cool train track and LOOOOONG train! They are great engineers! L and B were very focused using their hands and fingers while stitching the animal threading game cards! Nice fine motor work!

The sweet potatoes we brought back from our trip were our new art collab focus today. They were cut into various shapes for paint stamping! I, L and L loved to see their sweet potato shape stamps come to life on the dark paper! Such beautiful work! Stamping is a great way for us to record the shapes we know and love by making colorful copies of them on paper!

After we cleaned up, we sang our good morning song along with “five little leaves” and read the story “Clifford’s First Autumn”. It was about a big puppy who saw autumn for the first time, with falling leaves, pumpkins and more! We even had a plush dog accompany us during the story! N and T loved petting the dog and laughing when pretending to bark like a puppy. T especially adored the puppy, giving it a great big hug!

Soon after, it was snack time! What’s your favorite snack? Before we knew it, it was time for us all to leave for the park. We met the flowers class there after we spent some good energy.

See You!

Love,

Buds
