Brushes, textures and bouncy birthday beats!

Happy Thursday!
This morning we had a new sensory tub set up on the front activity table but this time we used dried rice and construction machinery toys! N and D had a blast sprinkling and bulldozing the rice with shovel cars and other toy vehicles! VROOOM! Close by, A was very interested in feeling the different nature items in the wood sensory bin with their fingers. The pinecones were their favorite!
Mr. Potato head was ready for a makeover on the back table and O and I were like artists giving him new and interesting combinations. What a PICASSO DUO!. Behind the back table, there was a paint station set up for tomorrow’s birthday celebrants, B and M! They both chose their favorite paint colors and made a beautiful birthday candle painting!
In the playroom, we had musical instruments like drums and tambourines set out. T played in an ensemble with Goh together making HUGE beats! T loves to play the drums. Nearby, L and L were joining along playing the maracas and wood clacker. Those two are also music buddies!
After clean up time, we sang our good morning song along with “five little pumpkins” and then sang happy birthday to B! Today is their birthday! They are three years old today. 1! 2! 3!
Our class left for the park after snack time and took the bouncy balls with us once more. All of us had lots of fun kicking and throwing the balls. M practiced bouncing one with both hands but it was a bit tricky. N found some clippings of grass and sprinkled them onto the green space. They really liked to hear and feel the crunch of the dry grass in her hands! Do you know any other things that go CRRRRUNCH!?
See you tomorrow!
Love,
Buds team
